Elske Posthuma (1989) has started working for Thorbecke Academy (NHLStenden) in 2016 as teamleader for the Cybersafety research centre and as lecturer-researcher for the Safety & Security Management educational programme. She finished her masters in Criminal Law & Criminology at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen where the focus on her final research was on the criminalization of selling and receiving stolen digital goods. After graduating her masters she started working as a researcher with focus on human trafficking and its perpetrators and as a legal supporter for victims of human trafficking within the Centre of Human Trafficing (Fier Fryslan). Thereafter she worked for the local government, the township Leeuwarden as a Legal officer. Elske mainly works as a teamleader and she mostly responsible for creating and maintaining a direct link between research and education.
