Jurjen Jansen MSc (1983) is a PhD candidate at the Cybersafety Research Group. Jurjen started per July 1, 2013 with a thesis which is part of the Dutch Research Program on Safety and Security of Online Banking, a partnership between the banking sector, the Police Academy and National Police. His research focuses on strengthening online resilience of end-users. In addition, he assists students in designing and conducting research.
Since 2010, Jurjen has been working for the Cybersafety Research Group. As a researcher he has worked on projects on youth and cyber safety, the nature and extent of cybercrime among citizens and the digital security of SMEs. Before that Jurjen worked as a researcher at the University of Twente, where he did research into electronic government from 2007 to 2010. In 2007 he graduated in Communication Studies at the same university.
