As a member of the research group Maarten focusses on current issues of digitalisation of the public domain. For example he participates in the nearly finished research concerning the monitoring of social media by Dutch municipalities. That's why he currently explores issues on governance and collaboration in the field of public data and ICT-systems, known as "Common Ground".
